Rev Lagi Sipeli recently retired from the church Ministry where he was in service for over three decades.  For many years he provided strong leadership for the Niue people in New Zealand and played a significant role in ensuring that the Niue language is promoted and preserved for future generations.

Michael O'Halloran who is an Engineer by profession was a participant at the MYL Niue pilot language classes held in Auckland in 2005.  He was born in Niue and was raised in New Zealand from the age of two.

Josh Pilisi was born and raised in New Zealand.  He participated in the Niue pilot language classes held in Auckland and found the classes to be very beneficial in learning conversational Niue language.

Jessica Hoeft was also a participant at the MYL Niue pilot classes held in Auckland in 2005.  She is a third generation New Zealand born Niuean and is currently in Year 5.

Regalina Asekona is currently studying towards a Science degree at the University of Auckland and continues to receive one on one language lessons from her father who is a tutor in the Niue language.  Regalina participated as a student in the MYL Niue pilot language classes.

Moka Ritchie is a Barrister and Solicitor in Christchurch.  She is actively involved in the Niue community in Christchurch and represents the Christchurch region on the Vagahau Niue Language Executive.

Meleline Hoare (nee Poumaka) is a mother of four children and is a second generation new Zealand born Niuean.  Meleline is the key contact for the Hulaaga Vagahau Niue language conference to be held in Christchurch in October 2007.

Tufuga Lagatule has taught Niue language in Christchurch for a number of years especially at early childhood level.  She has been instrumental in her capacity as a Niue leader in the Christchurch region.

Rev Tom Etuata is currently a church Minister at the St Timothy Parish in Wellington.  During the Niue pilot phase, Rev Etuata contributed to the project in reviewing the MYL language learning resources together with other language experts.
